Karen: I'm sorry, but couldn't help but laugh at some of the things you are going through which I did with my mother. I think a lot of us have gone through or will get to go through the same. There were times I felt like I had an 85 year old daughter; it never occurred to me that we would be reversing our roles in life. My mother has been gone almost 16 years now, My suggestion is, take a lot of their behavior with "a grain of salt" (whatever that means). One of my good memories of your mom was her talking about that James Dean movie, "Rebel without a Reason." Anytime I see, hear, or read anything about James Dean, I think of your mom and that neat comment.
