Subject: reaction to food

I have been sick about a month with some type of food reaction. It first started with my tongue enlarging and throat began to swell up. I was teaching at school and the nurse gave me some benadryl until doctors office opened up. I then went to doctors and he gave me a rinse for my throat and an antibotic to take for about 10 days. swelling of tongue etc.. went down but I still was pretty sick . I called doctor on call on a saturday and he gave me another antibotic to take . I took this but then started to get swelling of my lips . This was very painful and kept me up at night because they would start tingly . this went on for over a week I would also get small sore-blister in mouth but they would come and then go . I went back to the doctors and he put me on prednisone but did not tell me that was what he was putting me on. OMG I will say it took the swelling down but really screwed up my body. I went on it for a week and went off of it before i completed all my pills. I went ot Jeramy and in a week I gained 10 pounds and lost 7 pounds of muscle. I couldnt sleep and was eating carb nonstop. I wanted to do a bb show but will have to wait until May - june because i need to gain some muscle and lose some fat. With me taking prednisone for a week and knowing it is a steroid will I be able to compete? Has anyone had any issues with any type of supplements and haveing a reaction? I still dont know what cause reaction. Wasnt eating anything different and went off all supplements for a month while this wwas going on . Started back on supplements and had no reactions. So dont think it was any of them. Anyone have a similar problem. Thanks Amy
