I would like to thank Keith for promoting a very smoothly run show and everyone else that took the time to make it happen this past weekend and in the USBF in general. The fact that Keith, Mike, Jack, Brian, Kent promote great shows and compete at a very high level is very impressive and should be recognized more then it is.
I watched a lot of the pre-judging and night show in attempt to calm myself down. Saturday was a day I targeted for a very long time and I wanted to look my best ever. The former fullback and powerlifter in me causes me to get way to amped on competition day and it was evident when I almost fell over during a side tri during my routine lol. I was very impressed by what I saw during the day. When I scrolled my eyes across the first call out during the Pro class pre-judging my overly depleted Jaw dropped to the PHS floor! All the pros looked amazing! Big Ron looked incredible and he knows how to present it. He has the total package and the "turn around vaccum" move gave me the freakin' chills, awesome. Brian Young's legs were sick. The outer sweep of his legs in one of the photos I have was top knotch, hands down best wheels. Damien D. blew me away with his posing routine. I work on my routine for months and screw it up lol and Damien puts together a routine the night before and looks like Russ Testo up on stage, amazing poser!. Damien is very talented and has bright future in the sport, he was also very supportive and helpful in my prep for the show.
Thanks again to everyone that make the shows happen. I am still very excited about the day and the outcome for me personally and will be for a while. I was in shock that the day ended up just the way i dreamed about it happening for months during my training. I hope everyone has a great offseason and fall season if your competing. Enjoy your summers and the food!

Congratulations to ALL Competitors for an excellent show. Thank You to all of my Hardcore Fitness / Team Yeah Buddy teammates who made an excellent showing as always. Sorry everyone, well.... have things I am busy with so havent been here much.
YES THE SHOW GOES ON!!
Should be around the same size as last year, but again, I am soo looking forward to this Pro-Mens Division. It is going to rock!
The stage set up will be the same with Roman Columns and a center stage entrance. Scivation is the exclusive sponsor of my show this year. THE LIGHTING WILL BE BY FAR THE BEST YOU WILL EVER SEE. There will be no area left unlit, 28 1k lights from above and lighting from each side as well!
My judging panel will be led by the abfreak himself Halz! No doubt he will be tough on you guys and gals, and I want it that way. Competitors be prepared to be worked over!
I am curious to see how some show up on Saturday.
HOS looked great at Mikes show, will he bring it again but more dialed?
JT from plattsburgh is said to be ripped and diced!
Will Tracy G. show up with improvements from last years run?
Dave Hamilton is looking as good as he did last year where he received a first place vote against his buddy Ron Parmeter. :)
There are alot of names I dont know yet, I will do my best to get to know them.
Then on to the pro men, WOW sit down for this one! Thats all i need to say.. i have seen many pro shows now, and with this lineup, I dont know who I would give it to right now, no competitors will walk away with anything!
Host hotel is the Comfort Inn, and the registration on friday night will be there at 7pm to 9pm in the gym cardio room.
After the show, I have a room reserved that seats around 80 I believe, for food and drinks. So no traveling to the hotel to shower then back on the road to party after, it's all right there!!! For those party animals, Legends Bar is right there also.
The Comfort Inn has a full gym!! It has about every hammer strength peice of equipment, so bring your work out clothes! For those bringing children, a full size pool with water slide is right there! Hot Tub also.

I wore this suit ONCE for a USBF figure show during the prejudging (since it is a rewuirement). It was made by Cynthia James (industry pro) and fits beautifully. I am 5 feet tall and stepped on stage after carb-up around 110/112. It will fit under or a little over.

Just want to say thanks again to Paul Eade+Crew for putting on another great show. Paul had all the basics and then some. Great goody bags,nice pump up room,cases+cases of water and Monster energy drinks. Very nice acrylic awards. He had Pumping Iron playing on the big screen as we were waiting for the morning meeting to start,Very cool. The Olean crowd for the night show,very LOUD! Olean loves Bodybuilding+Figure. Made all the dieting+sacrifices seem worth it. Just an all around GREAT show!!

Thanks everyone for all the texts, calls and messages. It is appreciated. Didnt realize I had such a reputation as a fat old man, but oh well! :)
Yes I did win, and yes it was a small show. I honestly did not go to the show for ease of winning, I just went because I had the time off, wanted to spend some time with my girl, and have a great weekend. And I did. Paul put on a great show! It had a whole different atmosphere then I have been used to, very cool!! It was not a gimmie! John Turnbull looked great, and you light heavies better watch out, a new kid is looking pretty good, his name is Nick. He has alot of potential, his legs were KRAZY!
I enjoyed meeting new faces, and helping out rookies alike. I will say this, after competing in Pauls show. There is a place in any organization for "smaller" shows like this past weekend. I had quite a few first timers asking me what the bigger shows are like, so my take is that shows like paul put on serve a purpose for those who are overwhelmed by the bigger venues. I am honored to have competed in your show Paul. Great job! The venue was awesome in a special way also. Sat maybe 200, and was "Home like", again a nice change.
So yes I did win my pro card. Not sure of my plans yet. I realize that I have improvements to make, conditioning in legs and abs. BUT that is only diet and time!!! I feel confident once I obtain that level of conditioning, I can step on a pro stage, until that day happens, you will NOT see me compete as a pro! I respect myself and the other pro athletes too much to do so.
The weather turned out to be almost summer like. I have included a picture of me on sunday, after a plate of wings and 6 pack of beer.

79 competitors entered this years LIBERTY STATE show.Two no shows with entry paid.One dropped out three weeks away but showed up wishing he didnt. Then finally one failure in the testing dept.That's what started one of the smoothest shows that the NYS crew has ever run. the show ended officially at 8:55pm with the new mens pro smiling cheek to cheek ( Chad Austin).I would like to thank all of the judges for givng me their time, excellent head judging and mc work as always by MC DOUG ! DJ george on the spot as usual.Steve P. picking the after party with some serious garlic pizza.The forum staff for just being so damn helpful in every way.Rick Abt taking time to bring us the memories that will last a lifetime.My girl for using that new computer scoring that I have not a ****** clue how to do.Joe Hale & wife helping me with the awards cluster.
There will be many memories from this show.How about Ed Cole at 70+ years old getting a standing "o" during the awards. The pro masters division...sick.The open class of the night was the lightweights...shit was crazy.those guys were tight.How about the champ in figure getting upset by the dark horse from Rolando's team in Mass. Halz Man, I didn't get a chance to talk to you after the show. But just wanted to say awsome man. Great show and awsome venue. I thought you ran everything top notch. The juding panel was great and did an awsome job as usual. The expiditers backstage along with Doug the MC and the DJ were also on top of things. Counldn't have asked for anything better in a show, very well put together, i look foward in competing in it again.

It is gonna be the biggest LIBERTY STATE yet.We would first like to thank everyone that took the time to hang the posters,send emails or news letters and help promote this event at their event.So many make this event possible.We never thought this show would push numbers like the NYS.

WE ARE GONNA PUT ON ONE HELL OF A SHOW STARTING WITH JACKED GOODIE BAGS,SCULPTURED TROPHIES FOR EVERY COMPETITOR,BACK STAGE FOOD,WATER,TOWELS,GLOVES ,MIRRIORS AND ME EXPIDTING AT THE BEST DAMN VENUE WE HAVE.There are 28 dressing rooms with bathrooms & mirrors.
Some notes: mens novice will be three classes by weight
womens bodybuilding two classes
mens open middle is heading toward two classses

FROM THE NORTH:
Rt.81 to Exit #5 (Front Street). Turn left at end of ramp onto Front Street. Drive approximately 1.5 miles. You will go under a railroad overpass. At the next light, turn left onto Clinton Street. This will take you across the river. As you come to the second light, turn right onto Washington Street. You will see the theater marquee on the left.
FROM THE SOUTH:
Take Rt. 17 West for a very brief time. Take the Mygatt Street Exit (#72). Turn left at the end of the ramp onto Mygatt Street. Follow Mygatt Street until you come to a T in the road. Turn left onto Clinton Street. Clinton Street will take you across the river. At your second light after you cross the river, turn right onto Washington Street. You will see the theater marquee on the left.
FROM THE WEST:
Rt.17 East to Exit #72 (Front Street). Turn right at the end of the ramp onto Front Street. Stay on Front Street for approximately ¾ of a mile. You will go under a railroad overpass. At the next light, turn left onto Clinton Street. Stay on Clinton Street. Clinton Street will take you across the river. At your second light after you cross the river, turn right onto Washington Street. You will see the theater marquee on the left.
FROM THE NORTHEAST:
Rt.88 to the Binghamton exit (Exit #1) (Rt. 7). You will eventually pass the intersections for Routes 17 and 81. Take the exit for US11 (Business District). Stay straight as you come off the exit. You will come to a T in the road. You will see the Baseball Stadium in front of you. Turn left onto Henry Street. Go through four traffic lights. Turn right one intersection past the fourth light, onto Washington Street. You will see the theater marquee on the right.

Hardcore Fitness & Tanning in Peru NY, presents its 1st annual STRONGMAN COMPETITION August 24th,2008!! Events to include-Tire Flip, Farmers Walk, Carry & Drag, Log Press, Car Deadlift,& Atlas Stones.
Welcome all competitors and spectators !!
Volunteers needed for judging, moving equipment, calculations, etc.
We are currently trying to get the event sanctioned if possible, as well as media coverage. Great trophies to be awarded !!
Classes to include: Mens under 200 , Mens 200 and over, Womens, and Teens ! Classes will be split or added as competitors sign up.

After reading "true Naturals" post I thought should I post this right now. shit hope they dont think it was me! Well it wasnt!
The Deadline for the Plattsburgh Pro/Am has been lifted! Just got off 16hrs at the jail, voice mail full, and quite a few emails all with questions about it.
No Deadline! I tried a deadline to minimize late entry for planning purposes. I guess you are tougher than me! :)

The OCB kicked off their season with 71 competitors in Tarrytown,NY this past saturday.Carlos Miranda from Garnerville ,NY took home the mens hardware. Mark Semel beat out a strong pack to claim the masters 40+ and masters overall crown over Robert Henry Sr. The open womens bodybuilding was won by Carla Jennings a local project manager representing "Premier Fitness" out of Nanuet,NY the womens open figure was won gracefully by a season vet named Tali Tarone from Norwalk,CT. The best overall of the evening was the mens novice with the eventual winner being Carlos Miranda slightly over William Mantos.
A couple USBF NYS notables were Nam Le who was a solid second in a class of ten.Geno Zini being trained by Brian Young made his bodybuilding debut with a sixth place finish out of tweleve.Pat walsh from the "Cuse" finished fourth in a tough heavyweight class.
Congrats to all for blasting off the 2008 bodybuilding season.
