Our good old buddy Mark from Bingo who won the Empire State natural with his anabolic natural look by a landslide got a slap in the face this weekend.
First off lets all stand up in front of our computers and give Mark props for doing two NPC shows the NATURAL MARK way.Good job Mark(a pat on the needle ass).Poor old Mark just finished OUT OF THE TOP TEN in his recent showing.Geez lets see if they post that on the drinking fountain memmorial at AFF(gym rocks).Oh Mark did have a good showing in the masters....2nd.Hey Mark did you tell everyone there how you are a natural pro?Maybe then you would have got some points for sticking to the natural way.
Congrats once again to the BIGGEST Natural pro in the USBF.

Great to see everyone.The DJ rocked.The MC for his debut I would give a B+.JT ...that was your best promo yet.Expiditers were on the money.Craigs hospitality was great. His gym ROCKED!
The show?Well Men's pro was small but sized up.It was a coin flip with the top two.Keith Provist belonged with his debut.No question on wether he deserves to be there.
Figure pro was a disapointment.Traci Gamlin showed up to have no comp.
Pro women bodybuilding was a shocker!!Traci Gamlin won that also.
Amatuer men was won by a guy that looked like sandman.Dry, grainy & full.Heavyweight was disapointing to me I must admit.
Amatuer figure.She will go far if she gets with the right coach.
Dale Baker a friend of mine placed 2nd in the open.Yeah he lost to a guy 30 years younger. Great job Baker!
I think there is a solid future for bodybuilding in Plattsburg.I think with the right venue it will be one of the biggest in the state.

It had been 14 years since Marc McKercher competed in a bodybuilding competition. Not that any one would be able to tell this spring.
McKercher, a 37-year-old native of Endicott, won his second straight competition May 16 in Allentown, Pa., unanimously taking first overall as well as first in the Super Heavyweight class at the 2009 Lehigh Valley Championships. That win came five weeks after McKercher also took first overall at an April 11 event at the Forum in Binghamton.
In both events, McKercher beat out 70-plus competitors, and at the Binghamton event, he also won his Pro Natural card, indicating that he can now compete on the Pro Natural circuit, where the events are drug-tested.
Prior to this spring, McKercher's last competition came in 1995, when he took second in the heavyweight class at the National Physique Committee Mr. New York State event. He attributed his strong return to increased self-discipline and dedication, and great support from his wife, Angie. He also thanked the staff at American Family Fitness.
What's next? McKercher plans to take the summer off, before resuming training with the hopes of competing in the NPC Junior Nationals next spring.

With a sold out crowd in THE BATTLE OF THE BURG.Steve Boyer showd he could be a fource to deal with this fall. One point seperated the top two.Second was unamiously taken by the biggest pro in the USBF.Dave Laclair showed unreal size &conditioning tonight. If the judging was don at night ....Dave would have won. Steve was a tad drier in the am. Keith Provist looked great for his debut.I think hands down the best back tonight. Jean Stewert. Will we ever see the old Jean again.Fantastic night for the mens pro. Congrtas!

Congratulations to the new USBF pro Steve Asselin from Rick Postons gym All American Fitness in Burlington Vt !!
I judged the NBA show in Vt one month before the Burgh. JT spoke to Steve and got him to come to Plattsburgh. This guy is extremely humble and just an all around nice guy. Grainy and tight everywere,he is probably the toughest bantam in the USBF !!

It's almost here! The 4th Battle In The Burgh is shaping up to be the biggest and best to date. Stadium seats for a nearly sold out crowd, DonLen sculptered trophies for every competitor, goodie bags, yup 1,nope,2 nope, 3 yup! 3 goodie bags per competiotr!! t-shirts too. pump room (with weights and real mirrors, and MUNCHIES). Lots of 1st timers in every division. Pro men shaping up. Some of the regulars are missing, but some new faces are jumping in to pick up the slack. Good luck to all and godspeed to those traveling. Keith Provist making his long awaited debut.Big Dave La'Clair stuck to his diet program after the Empire.He is surely coming in sharp as a pencil for this event.Ed Silva who won two USBF Pro master titles will take his sick conditioning to the test with the young guns.Steve Boyer is said to be tipping the scales at about 190 shripped.That would put him in the drivers seat for this one.Jean Stewert makes his return with his over-powering upper torso which could make this one a toss-up.Steve P. is said to be hiding out trying to bring in the Empire physique which landed him placing in that big pro line-up.Of course you have Rico Browning.You never know if this monster will show or not.Chances are he will be there.Who else will show is the question?Rich Cancelino lives very close to the Burg.WE shall see how this dog fight ends in one week.

I hope a lot of you who post on this forum board no that some people come here to read and check out the Natural Movement. So when they read about someone doing Illegal substances (true or false) it puts a dark clod overall of us. I have found myself explaining things that have been posted on here to others that don’t understand Natural. Although over the years I personally feel the lines in Natural have been skewed. With all the produces on the market. But after a competition, if some one asks a question, I find my self not only explaining, but defending the entire Natural Movement, different organizations and testing procedures. We should act like mature individuals and talk sensibly about a sport we hold with great passion. If a test should come back positive then post properly. But until the test comes back don’t make accusations. We should not post our personal rants here. It’s not the place. An it makes all of us look childish. When making your next post, think about it. It’s really not that funny. An for those who don’t have an understanding only makes it more complicated . If you want this to be a professional sport act professional

Hey all. May 30 is getting close!! Spectator ticket sales are going through the roof. Already over 200 sold for ALL DAY seating!! Goodie bags are filling up, tons of prizes for drawings (from all day ticket), vendor booths galore, don't forget CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST in lobby morning of show.Ticket sales have gone so well by the end of the week I may have to stop selling and I will have to save some for the day of the show. If you are sending a competitor entry and ordering tickets also,I may have to limit spectator tickets to 5 for each competitor.(So get them in soon). May 15 early entry!! Sorry. This is a situation I have not had to deal with before. LOL. A good one, but different. JT

11 days to go until the NJ Natural Classic II, May 2. Remember, all open class winners will receive USBF pro card. Apps are still coming. We have 11 judges so far with a few more possibly coming. As always, I like to have alot so we have no problem with the scoring. Prize money for the women pro divisions start at $1500. So if you haven't committed yet ladies, now's the time. The more that enter the higher the money goes.

Just wanted to comment on an outstanding field of competitors, fans, and support for the Empire States in Binghamton last weekend. Seems as though the younger age groups and Novice classes keep getting more fun to watch every year. Future Bodybuilding will see some real stars. Huge showing in numbers of competitors proves once again that Mike Halsey does a great job of promoting his passion. Special congrats to our friend Amy Murphy who always comes in so prepared and is so much fun to watch perform. Amy truly keeps Women's Bodybuilding alive in CNY. Congrats to all those who put on a very sucessful show for us to sit back and enjoy.

I think there are well over 10,000 shots.....keep in mind these are only batch edited so I can get them up to the site quickly....I'll go over the ones purchased for color and exposure before shipping.

First off, great show Mike. I am glad to see the number of competitors rising. The quality of the competitors (men and women) was phenomonal.
I want to say congrats to Larry Roberts. He dedicated a whole year to dieting after several years off due to shoulder surgeries and such. Lost 50 pounds in one year..Great inspiration to be around.
The teen class just blew my mind. Guess these youngsters believe in a lot more then just how much they can bench. Great to see and scary what these guys will be able to do in the future.
To Damon. Congrats big man. All around good guy and great sportsman.
Thanks again Mike for an excellent show. Hope to see you all again soon.

Mike,
The show you put on last night was simply, well kept and fully functional. I had a great time and wish you much more success in your future endevors. The classes were very tough and the Pros, were out of this world! You had a geat crew helping you. The judges were fair. Overall, it was a great experience and the venue was awsome for the routines and the sound system ROCKS.
*To all the other competitors I have met and re-connected with; I felt a sence of continuity with everyone. I had the honor to speak to Larry (Rocket), Rico B. and others and there advice to me means alot. I will reflect and continue to grow. Also did anyone check out the upcoming teens? Wow! The new generation of "Natural" Bodybuilders are fierce! Keep it up! Both the Ladies Figure (I don't know how you do it in those heals all day) and Bodybuilding was great to watch! Again, great job to all, it was an honor to compete with you all! Everyone have a great Easter!
P.S. Craig Recore's Gym (Team Hardcore), also did a great job of being the most Represented Gym I Believe! Great Job Craig; and to Jim Tyler (The Shredder). You guys keep "Rockin and Rollin!" Never give up!
Team Yeah Buddy and anyone else I have forgot, also another great job!
