Hi there. I've been dancing on and off since I was a kid (4 or 5)but after every 'off' session I found it the same as you...getting out of breath very quickly.

The more often you practice the better you'll feel (eventually) and after you warm up try dancing your dances through 2x without stopping....if you're young you can eventually strive for 3x without stoppping like our TCRG does with his champion dancers. I found that at first I could do maybe 2 steps, then 3, then the whole dance...(haven't yet made it 2x round without stopping but I'm 29 now). I used to do this when I was in my teens and it helps...also start out with hard shoe dances then move to soft shoe...you'll fly in your soft shoe after dancing in your hard shoes.
