it's also been postulated that Galad will somehow die a very messy death at Shayol Ghul. How that weenie's death could provide salvation is beyond me, though. Only slightly more believable than having Rand die a very messy death at Shayol Ghul.

Though death isn't certain. There's lots of wriggle room in that prophecy.

The Aiel dying in a colossal battle is likely, though i'm one of the few in the camp that thinks Tarmon Gai'don won't be won by battle, even though battle will likely rage.
