At the end of February 2005, Porntip Nakhirunkanok Simon ,former Miss Universe 1988,Thai beauty queen, who founded the Angels Wings Foundation to help underprivileged children, visited Thailand's tsunami-battered southwestern provinces and presented donations to affected communities.She contributed the amount of 20 million baht for government officers concerned to provide the new homes for victims from tsunami natural disaster in Pang-nga province.Picture below are her activities during that event.

Porntip was married an American businessman,Herb Simon, the owner of Simon Development Company and a big business partner of the famous Nordstrom department store in USA. They met each other in the commencement for her bachelor degree at Peperdine University since 5 years ago. Now they live in USA .Now Porntip is an ambassador and working for Southeast Asian children and women projects under the co-operation of UN.
