Half an hour later, Tyrsis stumbled towards the temple steps, Damuthca pulled in a makeshift stretcher behind her. Dashell had insisted no one help her. This was her task.

Red and viscious, the snake-like glow had pushed her as fast as she was capable.

"Goddess, just get us up the steps." Her breath was gasps and her legs burned. At the top of the steps two guards stared at her. "Please help me." She stumbled and just about dropped the stretcher.

At her words, one moved down the steps to her, seeing what she held in the stretcher, he called back to the other. "Get the elders, its Lord Damuthca and he's hurt."

The second guard rushed inside, stopping as he approached the meeting and bowing formally, heart to chest. "Tyrsis Escalvone as arrived with Damuthca." A glance at the Emperor showed his hesitation in dropping the title. "He is severely injured."
