Light faded, darkness could settle on the brightest lights. But no darkness would ever dim that flame. The candle in the darkness.
He resumed his full eighteen foot height, the visage finally breaking through the shimmer in which all eyes had seen, and he was clear.
His tail was apparent now, shimmering with red scales, and green plates that went all the way from the tip to the base of his skull. Brown fur covered what scales did not, his arms changing from fur to scales where his bicep began, and ended in fine red scales and orange plates along the top of his hands, which were dragon's feet, foot long claws relaxed and unthreatening. The plates along the front of his hind legs were the same plates that covered his back, and went all the way from his hip and ended at his cat toes.

The three long peacock blue feathers on his brow, one attached each to a jeweled crystaline eye, swayed gently, but remained upright as though rigid. Two slender brown unicorn like horns were only framed by two long, folded lynx ears.
He stretched his wings slightly, fur and leather making a raspy sound before setting back folded.
