Thought came after action, Oro's body hardly breathing its last and portal swallowing Kenji. She dove through the rapidly closing door, a moment of falling embracing her before reality snapped in and she did a smooth front roll to come back to her feet. It was supposed to be smooth, but Emillia was directly in her path, Kenji even farther beyond that. A last second jump launched her over the princess and she landed on her side, slapping the ground hard to take momentum out of it.

"Em..." She stopped, wincing a bit at the rush of vision that flashed across her. This place was... silver rod reverberated at her side and the flash of colors and sounds backed off. There, but no longer blinding.
