OOC: With Dal banned, there needs to be a cleanup of the events prior and leading up to his banning. I believe this is the correct path to take for cleaning that up, and have played out the scene in my mind. With the way he rushed forward, so that his "arm" wasn't hit, the blade would've hit the body anyhow. I do not intend to auto, if any players disagree, I will be glad to cheerfully get this post deleted. As it is, it is the best way I can think of for a cleanup.

Cyrus winced on the ground, wondering how it was that Daven still had his arm... he knew that his sword had hit something, he had felt a moment's resistance, and knew that his elbow hadn't been what had encountered resistance... that elbow was unharmed.
He had a sickening sensation as to what had happened though.
As Daven spoke, Daven's voice trailed off, as he too realized what must have happened. Cyrus's sword, sharper than the finest dwarven steel, had made contact with flesh, yet, veins severed had stayed in contact, and blood flowing pumped through them, having been momentarily, even through the impact of the tackle, together at severed ends. Electrical impulses still flowed through nervous tissue that like two copper wires, still remained in contact.
Gravity has a way of taking effect however, and a thin line of crimson began to appear across Daven's armor, blood seeping through the flesh where the two parts of his body were coming apart, while Daven's eyes widened in shock.
Breathing stopped altogether, the blade had passed through the lower chamber of one lung, then, not long after, through the upper chamber of the other. The arm on the other side remained intact however, for Cyrus's blade had stopped there, the moment of collision between two bodies.
At that point however, the top part of Daven's body fell from the lower part, and Cyrus looked away.
Slowly standing Cyrus gave the awestruck crowd a spectacle, dropping his blade with a clang of metal against stone, then trying to repress a tear for the unintentional killing... he hadn't been trying to cause real harm to Johan earlier, so Johan hadn't lost limb... yet this... Daven, had paid the price for treachery.
For a moment, nothing moved. Then the guards came, and, after speaking to several citizens (Johan just now regaining enough of his senses to figure out quite what had happened) one guard placed a hand on Cyrus's shoulder.
"Cyrus, you'll have to come with us, Everyone says it is self defense... but.." the guard said, before Johan could finish for him.
"But the law states there must be a trial," Johan said, then nodded the guard, "I don't like it, and I want you to make sure not only that the trial is done within two days, but also that he is allowed to go to class, but it is your job to uphold the law."
With that, Cyrus was escorted away, in spite of a protesting crowd, while Johan picked up the Fia'A'Vell'Turr and wrapped it in his cloak.
