I was in a major accident on saterday night/sunday morning. It was midnight so it was either or. In short, my car is fucked, but I'm ok. I got a bump on my head and a bruised shoulder. If you look at the driver's side of my car, you'd be amazed that I wasn't killed. The only thing that saved me was the roll cage bar in my door. Otherwise the truck that hit me would've crushed me in my seat. Thank Goddess for seat belts.
Now I'm screwed. I get to go to court on the 22nd of april for a judge to decide whose fault it was. I got a ticket for failure to yield to traffic. I'm assuming the other guy got his ticket for failure to control speed and/or driving without valid insurance.
His was expired. Mine wasn't. Ha, fucker.
I could get my ticket dismissed on the sole fact the cop wrote me as being 25. Last I checked, November came at the end of the year. I'm not 25 yet. But it's houston. It was wet, it was a three lane one way, and from the way that guy was yelling on his cell phone, he was drunk, and/or had no compassion.

My car doesn't start, I can't open the driver's door, the passenger door on the driver's side doesn't close, and there's no glass in the window. It all ended up on me. And just for the record, car window glass is crunchy. The only cut I got was when I got home and had a tiny shard of glass in my toe.
Pete and Adam were blitzed when it happened, so I don't know how reliable their tales to the insurance claims lady are going to be. The only witness I had was the fellow following me that was behind the truck when the truck decided I wasn't going fast enough. So he's the only sober witness.
He paid for the wrecker to bring my car home. He helped me patch up things way before this accident with Bo.
I owe him.
And I doubt I can ever repay him for how much support he's given me, and I'd only just really got to know him that saterday night.
But yea. I'm carless. And my liabilty insurance doesn't cover my car, and the other guy had no current insurance. Joy.
I'm so fucked.
