The voice sounded amused from behind Jarek. Not a sound, not even a flicker of magic could have heralded his arrival.

"I hide from no one, mortal."

Amused turned to annoyed. Law and chaos wound paradoxically around one another within gold and ruby eyes. A chill passed through the air. It was an unnatural chill, a child that even the coldest of people would shivver from.
