Dawnsfire gazed at the horse before turning her eyes to Jarek. He smiled as though nothing was wrong but she could see something was wrong. His aura pulsed and flickered like candlelight through glass and was streaked with reds and unhappy yellows. This was her strongest gift, to see the pain of others as though it was written in their faces. Gently she touched his arm, her expression sympathetic.

"Jarek what troubles you? And please do not insult me by telling me nothing is wrong. I am a Shaman and I can sense your pain. If you let me I can help you..... or I can at least try."

She kept her hand on his arm as she looked at him, her words spoken earnestly. She truly wished to help him... if he would let her.
