"D-Dawnsfire." Without conscious thought Dawnfire took the proffered hand as she let Jonath's words sink in. That would explain why the other woman was so.... hostile.... towards Jarek. Still the woman could have been polite to him since he'd brought a guest. To be rude to another in front of a stranger was something that Dawnsfire hated, it usually caused a scene. Perhaps Jarek would be willing to talk to her later....she could sense how much the death of this Vincent had wounded him. And guilt, whether imagined or real, fresh or old it could still cause a person to bleed inside. It was something Dawnsfire was just beginning to realize..... she felt guilty because she hadn't been there to help safeguard her people.... even though there was little she'd have been able to do, she still felt guilt and it was razorsharp... sharp enough to make her bleed inside. She could only imagine how deep the wound in Jarek was, to know, to believe that it was his fault his friend had perished.
