Dawnsfire was slightly reassured by Silverfox' smile, it meant that the girl was adapting to all the changes that had occurred. Of course she'd had more time to come to grips with what had happened, which was the big difference between them. Dawnsfire hadn't known until Silverfox had told her what had occurred to their Clan, and even then it wasn't real to the Shaman. It wasn't until she's scryed out the past and witnessed it that it became real. Looking at the younger girl she smiled, though it was strained and weak. "Silverfox, will you be okay here for a few hours alone? I cannot honor our people with the regular rites, we are not close enough and it's been too long. I don't like it..... I hate it and there's nothing that will change that but I have to at least try and set our people's spirits at peace. I cannot do that here. I'm going to go into the forest and try and I should not be gone more than a couple of hours. I need to at least try."

She had to try, not just for her people but for her. Perhaps if she could call the souls of her people to her and set them on their path it would help her to accept what had happened to her people. She couldn't change it no matter how much she wished she could and she couldn't let it eat away at her but she could do her duty. She was Shaman and she had responsibilities and it was time she took up her duty and did what she was supposed to do.
