Her staff connected with nothing as the assassin effectively did a back handspring beneath her swipe, his actions played out in her mind instant by instant as he made his decisions and followed through with them. He had not been entirely prepared for her, but then she had not expected him to be. The silver staff in her hand withdrew into its standard form of transportation, a silver rod roughly six inches long twirling in her hand as his legs flashed by in what would have disarmed a normal staff user.

Tyrsis Kayaroqua had never been normal, loneliness had often accented that ackowledgement.

The staff flashed out again, silver once more a sheen of motion in the dim roomlight as it spun from her fingertips and into her palm, striking at where his balance was weakest. If he did not move almost impossibly fast, he would find himself head first on her carpet as his arms simply ceased to be beneath him.
