Dawnsfire followed Simple with Silverfox trailing behind her silently and shivered. The woman in front of her gave her the chills, like she was following a spectre given solid form. Ignoring it she kept following until she felt a buzzing tingle, a barrier of some kind and then the feel of other minds washed over her. Tossing up a swift shield, light but neccessary, she looked around. It was a village, or it had been, one that had housed Forgottens at one time to judge by the open courtyards and large windows above the first level.

The minds that were so close were human, but not Clan. She knew they couldn't possibly be Clan, there hadn't been enough left to cover those here and they felt alien to her, foreign in a way that was difficult to describe.....but they were human. Surely that was something. Looking at Simple she hurried her steps so that she was perhaps four paces behind her.

"Lady? How is it there are humans here? I could not sense them until just now.... Or is it because of the shielding we passed only moments ago?"

Dawnsfire was curious.... and a trifle afraid. To be able to shield an entire village and it's inhabitants took a great amount of power..... power that the young shaman hadn't seen outside of the elven mages. Could this woman perhaps have an alliance with the elves or some other magically strong race? Did Dawnsfire really want to know the answer? ...... she wasn't sure.
