As if to emphasize the duergar's point several long slashes appeared on Tiani's cheek and arms. There was no noise when the marks appeared, just bright blood welling in the shallow wounds.

"If you delay and continue to protect her she will bleed to death. If you wish to save her come with us....or we WILL increase her wounds so her blood soaks the ground. We have no use for her and her death will matter very little. It is your choice. Choose NOW."

The harsh voice was cold and there was an angry edge to it. They had wasted enough time here and if Kami did not come along freely he would be killed. Tiani's life hung on his choice, if he refused to go they would kill her. If he went he would be allowed to tend her wounds. If they all did not hurry though they would be given to the drow's goddess Lloth as sacrifices......in which case Tiani would still die. Choices..... and time was running out.
