First, sorry for the misunderstanding. Liberal has cleared things up for me.
For my part, I have heard so many offensive things about liberal Christianity or Liberal Christians that I become quite sensitive to this type of criticism.
On the whole, I think Liberal Christianity, is the only possible outcome for any thinking Christians when they deal with so much social injustice and irrational chruch traditions.
Non-Liberal Christians (for the time being, I would called them close minded Christians) filling many Christian churches. Yet most of them are indifferent to the sufferings of others, and only care about themselves and their church growth ($$$). These very same non-Liberal Christians, instead of being the light of the world, are united in their movenment to oppress, abuse homosexuals and women.
I would refuse to believe that these close minded non-Liberal Christians have the living Holy Spirit working in them. If they do, how could they not see the harm they inflict on others. If they do, how could they ignore the suffering they witness everyday.
The most basic fundamental problems of close minded non-Liberal Christians, is that they considered all who are living as 'destinate to go to hell to suffer eternity'. This concept has made these close minded non-liberal (or anti-liberal) Christians be cruel and indifferent to the sufferings of their neighbors. Afterall, what are the earthy sufferings when compared to the non-Liberal-Christian-imaginery-eternal-hell suffering?
If these close minded non-liberal Christians couldn't remove the false image of sufferings of their imginary hell for others, they couldn't and wouldn't care less about others. And the cold-heartedness of their mind, would shown as cruelty in their eyes. These close minded non-Liberal Christians are just cold-hearted-souless-corposes walking among people, preaching a non-existing hell, and wouldn't have the compassion in their minds to even understanding any of Christ teachings.
And that is what I see. So, excuse me for having a very negative attitude toward anyone who bash Liberal Christians. As Liberal Christians are the those who are now willing to follow Christ, and may feel what Christ feel for the poor, the sick and the oppressed. And these Liberal Christians are the hope for spreading Christ messages. I couldn't help but feel a little bit protective toward them.
