doing homework? this is an exciting piece of homework!
interesting, what kind of subject are u studying?
please share something about yourself
looking forward to knowing your study, your faith and anything

for the sake of hw, you may say in the specific case you coined, the victim has no free will, for whatever he does he will die anyway (you should omit the saver, addition of the saver will only complicate your example and confuse your argument))

(but if you ask me, i still maintain that free will does exist even for the case u coined, for the victim can choose to die earlier by immersing his head into the lava or chooe to die later (maybe by just one minute) by tip-toeing on the lava, he has free will, only that his free will has no effect on the fate of his dying; in fact we are actually in the same situation, we have a lot of free will to do a lot of things throughtour our lives, but ultimately we have to die, our free will can do nothing to prevent that; we have free will, only that our free will has no effect on the fate of our dying)

"and , how can i object this idea?
其實我們是有free will,
否則神就做一些機械人,同一format.
所以,是有free will 的."

u may answer like this, our free choices are illusions, the bible says god has counted each of our hairs, that means god has determined all the things throughout our lives, we seems to be able to choose to eat an orange or an apple, but god has already determined which fruit you will choose, your "choice" only actualizes god's plan which has already been laid down before your birth

not having the same format does not imply existence of free will, it only reflects poor QC, biological variations (including temperament) occur naturally from genetic and environmental factors, amoebas do not have the same format, do u think amoebas have free will?
