Subject: Marcelo P. Acosta

Hello to all and especially my Acosta and Bello cousins in Tagudin.

My father - Marcelo Parpana Acosta- was from Tagudin and left for the US in 1929. My family visited Tagudin in 1971 , after my father passed away. I remembered visiting a memorial(?)that had Mr. and Mrs. Marcelo P. Acosta inscribed on it as a contributor. It was a structure surrounding a tree somewhere located around the town or church plaza. Can anyone tell me if it is still exists and if so, can you describe it? What was the significance of it? If anyone has a digital camera and it is still there, I would appreciate a picture . Please send to majfb@gte.net,

I was only 6 but I remembered how beautiful your town was, mostly the beach and church .

Thanks! Michael Acosta
