Subject: My grandfather the late Vicente Dauz also came to the States in the late 1920s but went back to PI right before WWII. He passed away many years ago but I am sure he knew your father, perhaps buddies back then. Your father and my grandfather were probably in the same group of Tagudinians who came to the States at that time. They were probably the earliest groups of immigrants from Tagudin.

  • Thank you for the response and I look forward in viewing the pics. Any other pics of the main town and church would be nice also. Most likely , my father and your grandfather knew each other since I understand that Tagudin is not that very large. My father and his brother Serge came to the US and settled here. The oldest brother , Alfredo, came to the US, returned to Tagudin , then came back to the US and settled in New Jersey with my cousins. Unfortunately, my Uncle Serge and Uncle Alfredo were the only Acostas I knew since I was so young( age 7) when my father passed away. I know I have many cousins in Tagudin and know a few. I know they are kind, gentle, and quiet. All very nice qualities! (NT) -- Regards, Michael, 07/27/04 7:20pm
