My Dad was an extra in "Hello Dolly"... He was one of 100's watching the parade at the end; I've watched that movie dozens of times scanning the crowd until my eyes popped out and I still could never find him... But I remember him coming home and going to work with the 'outfit' they loaned him; turn-of-the-century fancy suit and hat... He did that while he was on vacation for a few weeks around 1970. He said he did it because he had nowhere special to go and just liked to keep busy!
