 I know this sounds wackoooo (with 3 "o's") but, does anybody remember the time in late '66 I think it was, that a meteorite (at least that's what we were told the next day) whisked over the sky over Newburgh and New Windsor, and landed somewhere outside of Cornwall...? I witnessed this from the front of our house on Wall Place, and I'll never forget it. It was a huge fireball, white hot with traces of green and yellow hurling across the sky not more than about 20 or so feet above the tree line almost parallel with Windsor Highway going south... Did anyone else see this or has anybody else ever seen anything like that in the area?
