Subject: Stepdaughter is moving out...

Well, I am sure that I have shared the stress Lorne and I have been having dealing with his 19 year old daughter.

Totally unresponsive and pretty much dropped out of school, grade 12, with only 6 months left to go! We tried everything we could, talking, taking her to the doctor, communicating with her teachers..getting a system set up with all of them, to have her catch up on assignments....asking her to let us know when she had homework...all the parent stuff. Well, she lied to all of us..and just would not go at all...she would stay out late, to avoid seeing her dad...and then started smoking!

Well, she is moving back over with her mom...and then going for a trip to see her brother and sister in Fort McMurray...Alberta...

I was cleaning her room the other day...as it was really stinky...well, she has been eating these "canned ravioli" crap...and drinking major amounts of these energy drinks..well, no wonder she couldn't sleep...and then...I found a few things in there, that kind of made me...go, oh well...you are totally disgusting...eewwww...I know, kids don't clean,...and can't be bothered to put stuff in a garbage can! But this stuff was under her bed...I couple of containers...that I just had to toss..as they were "furry"...YUCK! Anyway, did that...and I am glad I got in there and cleaned it...because now when you walk by the door it doesn't smell yucky anymore...

I would like to say I feel bad about this, but because of the way she has been treating me and Dayel and the disrespect she has shown her dad...I am glad she is going. I don't want her to be around to treat Dayel bad...and I told her more than once, that I would not tolerate her hurting her dad. Her dad, is one of the most easy going guys...and we totally gave her her space and respected her wishes and wants...and encouraged her to go out and explore..not many restrictions...and we trusted her. She totally abused that trust...and now, all we can hope is that she will grow up and realize just how much she is loved....and that she is not to treat people like she has.

That has been our big stresser over the past 8 months...now, we will have a spare room...and hopefully get Dayel into her own bed...wish us luck...

OH OH..found a new doctor...he is so far, proving to be great...my first visit 2 weeks ago, he asked all the right questions about my depression...and yesterday...got the results back on my knee xray...and my arthritis is getting pretty bad...so I am to take a medication for that...I am going to try it for a month or so...and see how it goes.

I met a woman at my gym and we are out every night at 7:00 pm...either at the gym together...or going to a walk around a local track...with the arthritis in my knees, I have to walk on a more even surface...and be very careful of impact..so the artificial track surface is perfect...anyway...she and I are on a quest to lose weight together and get healthy!!!!

So, that is my news...
