Richard ,
like I said in a previous post , I hate that I left such a big part of my life just slip away . Much of it wasn't my fault ( this damn disease ) . But I was twenty eight when my life juat started to fall to pieces . Not an excuse , just a fact . Like I said , too much thinking and not enough action on my part . If only I could have looked by the depression . I will say this . After returning from Vietnam , the little things just didn't seem as important as they once had . Now I'm left with PTSD , prostate cancer , and a bad heart . But , on the bright side , if you can call it that . The brother that I just lost , showed me what courage was really all about . When I think about him now , that laundry that could be put off until another day isn't . He really showed me how to live through physical pain and keep on pushing forward . I thought I already knew about that because of my service in Vietnam . His final years , showed me what watching a true hero was all about .It also showed me that you have to live until your very last day on this earth .
Peace , Dave
