Subject: Something sad

My cat, Mister Al, is dying. They think he has pancreatic cancer. We have to go Monday for an ultrasound. The vet I go to is bringing in a doctor from MSU who does ultrasounds. He is peeing all over the place, can't control himself. I know he has a urinary tract infection, and I have to pick up some medicine for him.

How do I let go? If he has cancer, I can't let him suffer. He is 19 and we got him the first week we moved into our house. He is a year older than Sarah. Sarah calls him her "big brother"

This is going to devastate all of us. Al was very sick this morning, and I wonder if he will make it til Monday and the ultrasound. How do you say goodbye? I'm still not over Duke and Penny. To lose my cat who has been a fixture in this house, a pistol his entire life, is killing me. Trying to make that ultimate decision is the hardest thing to do.

So I may be out of it for a few days. Please say a prayer for Mista Al (his gang name), and say a prayer for me and my family as well. We are gonna need it.

Love, Mikki
