Subject: 13 Days and counting...

Isn't there something I can take to make me sleep until after Christmas is over? Of course there is New Years Eve as well and I assume I'll be spending that alone as usual. I hate this time of year with a passion. Maybe it's good for those who are in love or have relatively "normal" families, but it's a bitch for a lot of us.

It's starting to hit me hard, the same way it does every year when I'm sitting here feeling like I have nothing in my life. Sure, I know that's not exactly true. I have things I can be grateful for and it could always be worse, but somehow knowing that doesn't really help.

I don't want to spend the rest of my life alone but I'm not meeting anyone worthwhile. I've done the online dating thing, I've gone out with friends to clubs, asked friends if they know any nice guys who are single. So what's next?

I'm not looking to jump into anything. I'd settle for someone to go out with on weekends who would give me a little affection. Hugs are really nice but I don't get any of those either.

Oh well... here's hoping the next 2 weeks fly by and it will be over with for another year.
