Subject: Today is the first day

...in 2 weeks that I haven't felt horrible. I ran a fever for a solid week but worked most of the time anyway because I couldn't afford to be off. I did miss one day. This stuff started out as a deep dry cough in my chest. Then it finally began to feel like the coughing was moving something in there. And just when I thought I was feeling better it got in my head...sneezing, headache, the whole bit. I took so much medicine for that whole week that it upset my stomach. Then this week I have the week off for the holidays. I had big plans for all I was going to accomplish on this week off. But guess what? I haven't done a darn thing except for lay in the bed or on the sofa. Yesterday I got out and went to work long enough to do last weeks payroll. I was there for an hour. Came home after stopping by the grocery store and I had a horrible sinus headache. Took meds all evening and tried to sleep. I wanted to sleep to make it stop hurting but it took hours to go away.

Finally today I feel halfway decent. Still some coughing but not as bad. I cooked dinner, washed all the dishes I've been neglecting and did a little laundry. Kind of week from being sick 2 weeks but at least I think I'm over the worst of it.

And guess what??? Now that I'm feeling better.... it's that time of the month. Getting ready to start. Well maybe by Monday when I go back to work I'll finally feel good?

So... I've been missing in action but I did want to say....

Richard, I am sorry about your accident. I do hope you'll be better soon and still able to do the things you love to do, like bike riding.

Gem, I know what you mean. I'm glad it's over too. I hate this time of year.

Hope, I'm sorry about your brother. Why do bad things happen to good people? I hope he will be ok and with you for a long time to come.

Rhonda, thanks for the card. I hope you had a great Christmas with your family.

Mikki, I hope your ordeal will be over soon and you can put it behind you.

Dave, how are you? I hope you're doing ok.

Liz, Anna, Zsof... hope you all had a happy holiday.

If I missed anyone, I'm sorry. Still a big foggy from all the snot in my head... lol... (you know you wanted to know that)

Talk to you all later,
Love,
Sandy
