Subject: " Relationships "

In my opinion marriage in this country is slowly slipping away as far as a permanent bond between two people . Yes , there are still a lot of good marriages left . Where I live here in Ohio , back in the late fifties and probaly most of the way through the sixties , divorce was kind of frowned upon . You know like a " you just didn't try hard enough kind of deal " . I have to say this though . This is a basic " Old Italian " type of town . You know back then when you said " till death do us part " , you had better have meant it . Having said that , I'll get to what this post is really about . I feel , and this is just my thoughts , that not only marriage is becoming a lost item , but relationships long term or short are following right behind . I have spoken to so many people here of late that say marriage or even a relationship is totally out of the picture for them . How sad is this country becoming ? But , in their defense I would have to say I agree . It's just a little scarey the way love is going down the drain . It seems like so many people have been bitten in the ass trying the love method that they , and myself , are paranoid about letting anybody get to close again . Hey ," where were you when the music died " ?
