Do you have any inkling what it feels like to sit with your mother when she tells you of her advanced directive? What she wants done and what she doesn't? She told me where all her money is at, and who gets what in her will.
I had to sit there stoically trying to keep myself together while my mother tells me of her final wishes. I wanted to be the one to go before her....I was almost certain I would with this bipolar. Dad is devastated, and I can't handle his depression on top of mine. My sister just cries.......God help me.
