I believe that it is most okay to have sympathy for ourselves. However, to live 24/7 in it is so unnecessary and so harms us by not allowing us to get what good and joy that we can get from life. Also, I believe that people get feeling just plain sad mixed up with as being on the pity pot. It is such a stigma that men aren’t supposed to show feelings, that over time men generally learnt to turn feeling sad into anger being that it is okay for men to be angry as in playing football or in war… Anger and aggression ya know.
