Liz ,
as you go through my response , please remember that it is a response of friendship . Just from knowing you from the board , and a few e-mails , I'll give you my take on things . It seems to me that you might have been brought up in an atmosphere where you were expected to be " Too Tough " . This being brought about do to " circumstances " beyond your control . I wonder if you are not experiencing the same type of problem that many military " Lifers " children go through . My son , ( only when he is slightly intoxicated ) will tell me how proud and how much respect he has for me for walking the walk I had to walk at an age much younger than his . I now know courtesy of my daughter , who he feels free to talk to about such matters , that he feels that he can never live up to me . He brags to his friends when in his state of intoxication , that my dad is the " shits " . I guess you know that is a positive feeling to have about somebody these days . Strange , but what do I know where these terms come from . I often wonder , does Liz ever cry ? Does she ever really enjoy the moment in times of laughter ? I know you've had negative responses to some meds in the past . But just maybe , it's time to give them another shot . Believe it or not , I have a friend who is really , really intelligent as are you . His theory used to be that anything beyond his intelligence was just a crutch . Well , a severly injured back changed his opinion on this matter . Pain killers are now a blessing and not a crutch to him . As I said , please take this in friendship . That is totally what it is meant to be . I only wish you the best .
Hugs & Respect , Dave
