Richard , I think in our world that does ring true . The only problem being the long breaks between pleasure and pain . The mental pain is so much harder to keep at bay . Thankfully my physical pain is very minimum . I do admire , and envy people who can find pleasure with very little or no effort . Can you imagine , some people get up at 5am just for the anticipation of the day . But , I guess on the bright side we are at least still waking up each day . Better sick in the head than dead I guess
