Hey Mikki,

That group sounds really good. I hope you can get in. And this guy might just be the kind of therapist you need. It does seem like weekly therapy for 10 years is a lot. Seems like the old therapist would have been trying to help you learn the skills you need to deal with things so that you wouldn't need to go every week for so long.

I really think that if you can find the right kind of therapy help you learn how to deal with problems and situations that arise in a more healthy rational way you'll feel good about yourself when you see that you are stronger than you think you are. It's good to have a support base but I know you want to feel like you are a little more self reliant as well.

I sometimes have a tendency to overreact or react too extremely to situations. I've tried to work on that and I think it has gotten better but sometimes I fall back into it. It's difficult to make yourself reason things out or be rational when you're in the middle of a crisis. It's a constant effort.

I'm glad you heard from him. Good luck and let us know how it goes. The group does sound interesting. I'm excited for you if you can get in.

Hugs,
Sandy
