I agree..you do have to put it to rest. Let it go. Just refuse to let that man cause you any more pain or stress. He's not worth it anyway.

Sometimes with situations that are causing that much pain for me, I have to constantly keep telling myself not to think about it. It will keep coming back and I'll just keep repeating to myself not to think about it until I stop. Other times I keep repeating to myself what Rhet Butler said, "frankly my dear, I don't give a damn." I've found that if I repeat it to myself enough times (like when I'm driving down the road alone) and if I say it out loud, eventually it will sink in and for a while I really WON'T give a damn!!! I guess it's the same principle as the daily affirmations. Repeat it enough times for it to stick.

Anyway..you do have to say goodbye and get him out of your mind one way or another. Don't let him destroy your progress.

I'm glad other things are going well for you. I hope it continues.
