I wanted to play the drums. I love drums....but Mom decided we'd have piano lessons instead. Piano lessons bored the hell out of me and I hated it. Now if she had bought me a set of drums and let me take drum lessons....

It's hard to make someone enjoy something they have no interest in. Those piano lessons were something I dreaded every week. It takes so long to get to the point where you are playing any songs you are interested in and I never got to that point because I finally convinced her to let me quit.

To this day when a song comes on with a lot of drums, I wish I knew how to play them.
