Kinda sounds like that "what have you got to be depressed about?" thing people say. Or 'suck it up", "it'll get better". All those things I hate to hear people say because they haven't a friggin clue what we are going through.

You have every right to be upset about Toupe' and this Gary person. You are under alot of stress and worry right now, so it is easy to be negative. You are being honest with your feelings that's all. We can't be positive all the time....hell, I can't be positive at all most of the time. I immediately look to the negative when something is happening. I have to go through the catastrophe scenario before I can even begin to try to see things rationally.

So what is happening with Toupe' that has you upset? Is it the eating thing, or is something more going on? It is gonna take him a while to recover, he's been through alot this week. Love him all you can and let him tell you what he needs. Call the vet until they hang up on you if you have to.

I don't know much about this Gary guy, but if he is pressuring you that much, say bye bye. Being friends will only prolong the harassment, best to make a clean break. I have had to do that, and it isn't very nice, but you have to take care of yourself. That is what is important.
