Subject: A big shock (I have an evil twin)

Well,
I guess you just never know what's going to drop out of the clear blue sky!
I just had the biggest surprise. Keith, my roommate, found a nice apt. community up in North Carolina and we have applied for residency there (hopefully I'll be up there by summer's end). I turned in my application paperwork and management proceeded with the credit history/background check.
I come home from work today and Keith's calling me to say I need to contact management right away because there are felonies on my background check! I was thinking, ok, now wait a minute, ok I have some debts and bounced a couple of checks, but c'mon.
So I call management thinking it was something financial and she says "well, Mr. Lister, there are two felonies on your record, the first for throwing missles at vehicles" (NO JOKE-I asked her twice if that description was accurate, lord, what pictures went through my mind) and the second for "felony assault".
I about literally physically fell on the floor. I really think my reaction must have been realistic enough to the apt. management for they looked further and turns out I'm Bill Lister, Birthdate 10/16/63 and there is a Bill LESTER with the same birthdate as mine! Just one letter difference. I actually found that rather creepy.
However, atleast, I'm back as the innocent party and think Keith and I will be approved for residency. We shall see.
You just can't be too sure about these background checks anymore. They really can mix up people with too many similarities in names, birthdates, etc.
Throwing missles at vehicles??? Yikes.
Peace,
Bill
