He had to register because he turned 18 and he said he is eligible to be called until age 26. He has no interest in the military. He said he knew they give you a good education but there was one major drawback as far as he's concerned... people shooting at you. I told him if he joined he might as well stop by the mental hospital on his way and drop me off because I'd go insane. I don't know how parents deal with it. I know someone's kids have to go for us to have a military but I couldn't deal with it. I'm sure of it. And Matt is so sensitive it would destroy him if he saw active duty. So he has no intention of joining.
