Subject: Standard of Referee's

Can someone tell me why the standard in the ARL of refereeing appears to be dropping, I don't know if it is that the game is getting to fast or not, but to me as someone who watches there seems to me to be a lot of bias going on.
Are referees in this day and age intsructed to keep the game even, for me it takes away the enjoyment of watching a game, when the result is decided by the whistle. I smell a rat.
