This is somthing that is very important. most level 2 referees will know that the way to follow a scrum is energy saving and increases your chance of catching a forward pass. you follow around the scrum in the "arc shape. if the 5/8 is caught with the ball, you stay at the ruck, but if he passes, you make your way to mark the 10 'early'. by doing this, it keeps your energy levels up, as well as your performance"
