For starters, if Wing wasn't hurt we wouldn't even be discussing this at all.

Now, sure, shoulder charging is not officially "tackling" someone, however, would it not be classed as obstructing their path, as you are getting in their way? It only says you can't do it to someone NOT in possession.

And anyway, all shoulder charges are dangerous (look at the cronulla player on the weekend - Sorry I can't think of his name I just had a mental blank) - if you want to outlaw them, then outlaw them, don't make specific regulations as to when you can and can't do it.

We really shouldn't be bothering to talk about it. Shoulder charges have been around for years, it's only because it was a high profile recruit for a club promising big things for the year ahead, and it was the first game of the season.

Wing doesn't get hurt = No one discussing this topic.
