Been following Takabite for 10 - 11 years myself. First time I saw them was at Oakfest & was impressed enough to buy their Beans And Rice cassette. I'm 48 years old & know music quite well. I buy, sell & trade rare l.p.'s & have several valued at $1,000+. I also have about 500 tapes & a hundred c.d's. I don't knwo much in life but I know how to install carpet & I know music. I DO NOT as a rule follow lounge bands. However, Takabite is a step above. They always have been & still are. The musicianship is quite excellent but I have to say that Maggie is a real pro. One of the finest female vocalists I've ever heard. I can't imagine why her career hasn't taken her to the top.I was a bit put off the last time I saw them because Maggie wou;dn't step up front & sing Where There Is Love but it was explained that it had very special meaning to her & got the impression it might have been painful. I was drunk & ignorantly offered her a $50 bill to sing it but she just smiled & said she had forgotten the lyrics. Bought her a bunch of double shots but that didn't help either. I respect her for standing by her decision & understand pain & lack of wanting to put oneself unnecessarily through it. I was hoping to get a friend of mine to try out for the keyboards position but he declined. Damn ! He's toure the U.K. & played with some great bands. His specialty is progressive music though. Best wishes to Takabite & I'll pop into gigs whenever I can.

Boy oh Boy, you really need to get out more dude. There are quite a few bands out there that are just as good if not better than Takabite and are definately more friendly than Maggie. Expand your horizons and spare us the soap opera please!

What's up with the personal attack on Maggie? The music is great, the band does very well.......what's the problem? Music is probably only one facet of Maggie's life....you have no idea what is going on with her or anyone else in the band for that matter....why the personal attack? You can't be friendly or please everyone.......maybe there are certain few she chooses not to be friendly to.

p.s. Hey Steph! Long time no talk, hope all is well.

Boy oh boy vicky sounds like you might be just a little bit jealous of Maggie. There is NOT a better drummer out there that even comes close to Maggie she is just simply the BEST. If you get to know Maggie she is a very sweet person. If you don't like Takbite then why are you visiting there site?

Give it up girls!!! As a close friend to Maggie and the rest of the guys, we all know where and with who she finds her love. If she choses to not sing a song,I am sure it is nothing to ponder over in lost thought. She's married, has kids and a whole new life, that's all. Keep on rocking guy's and cant wait to see you on Saturday!! 9:00 start?

I haven't seen Takabite perform since the mid-90's, when I used to watch them at The Edge, a lounge which used to be in a strip mall in Oak Forest, IL. I've thought about them now and then over the years, and am just curious to know if they are still together and performing. I see that these last posts are from 2005, so I'm guessing maybe not. Best wishes to them either way.

Take-a-bite was awesome! It is Oct., 2017 and I am still thinking about their music. I used to see them at Leroy's Bar in Porter, Indiana. I used to have their CD but can't find it now. Been searching you tube and google for some of their music with no luck. Any tips on finding it would be appreciated. Thanks!
