Subject: downhill [everyone from the cabin] Author: alex and natalie [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 01:25:05 05/17/04 Mon Author Host/IP: cache-dtc-ad05.proxy.aol.com/205.188.116.199 ...silently they made their way up the steep stairs, around the trunks of the trees and into the large treehouse. natalie immeditely heads for a glass cupboard and takes out a box of dozens of candles and a matchbook. she lights each one, placing them about the room, until it looks as if they were in some church. there is a small solar-powered radiator, which, having gathered energy in the early afternoon, spread warmth about the room. they hadn't been here for a while, so she took a broom from a cupboard and swept the place. her own little house... alex was sitting on the long sofa, which they had replaced a while ago. it was clean and bug-free now. it was pretty late, and natalie figured alex would wake her up when anyone came, so, after placing a kiss on his forehead, she walked to the bunkbed, took off her shirt and shorts, put on a tank top and long boxer pants from the drawers of a table next to her, and slipped under the heavy covers.
