In reply to: Amaranth 's message, "~A taste of hell~" on 03:22:47 06/10/04 Thu

The two boys watch silently as this scene plays out before them. Mercutio, the older of the two, bounces to his feet, revealing their presence in the shadows. He shoots a glance at Amar, a mark of his disapproval. Amar's behavior was not uncalled for; the girl had wandered into foreign territory, and it was not the wisest thing to do, especially for a street kid. He smiles to himself as he realizes that she is his age. How long had she been on the street? It was a serious breach of etiquette to steal from your peers, she must not have been on the streets very long. Killing Slate would have been the norm in a big city, but here in CM the street kids had networked for a reason. It was better to have a group to trust than to only trust yourself. Wasn't the point of the group to help each other?

Slate, is it? What brings you here?

He crosses his arms, surveying her with an outward expression of neutrality. Amar was bothered by the girl's attempted theivery. The tall boy understands her irritation, but can not endorse murder. Who among them hadn't stolen, after all? He decides to be as fair a judge as he can be before coosing to banish the stranger. Rigel continues to watch quietly, a distanced observer. His arms crossed, he looks like a miniature version of his older brother.
