I received your e-mail regarding the info on this helmet tag.
As far as I know this helmet is accurate.
The previous miscellaneous information has been omitted for now.
A Baltimore group headed by Carroll Rosenbloom was granted a franchise and was awarded the holdings of the defunct Dallas organization, January 23, 1953.
The stripe on this helmet "tag" might be incorrect.
I do not know if it tapered or not. I was even at the NFL Hall of Fame last year and a Dallas Texans helmet was on display!

I'm not sure what you exactly mean by your post but I think I have an idea and this idea has already crossed my mind.
I clearly specified on the vintage page that some of these are fictional designs.
Except for the Texans, Colts and the Yanks, I'm sure most of these other teams adorned plain brown leather helmets.
As other teams are eventually entered on this page (NY Yanks, NY Bulldogs, Brooklyn Tigers, etc. basically teams that existed in the 40's or later) it could be confusing as to what is
historically accurate and what is fictional.

Fine. I will divide the helmets into separate categories to avoid any confusion, ridicule or animosity. Any suggestions?
Perhaps, put the aforementioned teams on the current NFL page but under a "DEFUNCT" header ?
I was hoping to add the Houston/Tennessee Oilers. Where the hell was I going to put them ?

Thanks for your concern! I definitely apprecaite it!
