• the banner is NOT made of glitter paint...those festival banners are made out of RHINESTONES and are usually more expensive than the plain banners other wear. I should know, I have one.         • Why are you driving this point into the ground? We understand that you don't find her attractive....that's okay. She is not a beauty queen, she is a festival queen. Her job is to promote the Volunteer Fire Dept. in Chackbay, LA and their festival fundraiser (the LA Gumbo Festival). Many of the LA festival queens are not what YOU would consider MUO material (there are several who are, though). BUT, they are not competing for Miss LA USA, they competed to represent an industry, town, non-profit organization, etc. They travel, make appearances, and are involved in their & their festival's communities. I agree that the Gumbo Queen is not at allllllllll atractive. She is not what I would call even cute.
