You have your view and thats fine. But since we dont know its premature to pretend to understand things like that Rama was not a historical figure. Historians are people who have a partial view of the truth based on evidence they are able to scrape together. Realized masters are said to know by intuition.

I dont know why Yogananda's temple slid into the ocean. Perhaps it was Divine Mother's play with him. It certainly doesnt mean he was wrong about other things. Remember the time he got a letter from someone who ridiculed his assertion that Jesus had really lived? He prayed to be guided to come in contact with this man and it happened.

How do you know Rama wasnt a historical figure? You dont. They said the same thing about Krishna until they discovered Dwaraka under the ocean.
