Nice post. You think pretty logical. I have seen many guys on this board like H, Ketch and others post the same way and I like it very much. There are all independent observers out of their own right. Lets take Dr posts here, he is an independent observer too out of his own belief system.

Do you think independent observation is possible? As Osho puts it mind is always in past made up with whatever one has gone through. One can only pretend to be independent observer unless he or she takes it as his or her life aim. Even one is a true independent observer how good it will be in his or her own life? What will one be learning if one doesn?t believe in something? Being independent observer if one wants to see whether it is true or not, especially in yoga, it is not really possible unless one believes in it otherwise the person will be independent observer for his or her life. In general, an independent observer is bound by some rules, so to be or to act, he or she needs to follow those rule which essentially means believing in those rules to be true in order to carry out the task. So where is the independent observation when one is bound by something? I feel, independent observing is only useful if one is an independent observer of his or her own self. Again an independent observer enters into his or her task to validate something. Against what? A belief system?

This world mostly dependent upon believe system otherwise one will never be sure of anything unless so called intuition is developed. Yoga, I see, is all about finding the truth. We need to have certain belief system in order to climb the steps. Out of the belief system we will develop the rational thinking. I read some content of the link that you provided and there points that I consider as truth out of my belief system and others are not.
